Dr. Paul King specializes in communication and social cognition and has an extensive
list of research publications in top journals such as Communication Monographs,
HCR, and Communication Education. Trained in compliance with the Texas Civil
Practice and Remedies Code, Dr. King works in dispute mediation both on and off
campus and is Chair of the TCU Mediator’s Committee. He offers courses
in communication ethics, debate, human information processing (listening), and
communication research. Dr. King is a longtime member of the International Communication
Association, the National Communication Association, the Southern States Communication
Association, and Pi Kappa Delta. A former Chair of the Department and former
Chair of the TCU Faculty Senate, Dr. King is an avid hiker, climber, and fly
fisherman during the summers.
